“Sometimes flavor combinations just come to me and I’m like yeah– that’s going to work! I make sure the recipe is built using basic cocktail structure; spirit, or in this case, cold brew concentrate, sugar, water, bitter, and then go. Oftentimes having a classic cocktail reference. This time the flavors came but having no reference to any other drink similar to what I wanted to create wasn’t exactly helpful. I trusted my general knowledge of how the ingredients I wanted to use mix and meld, and this just so happened to work out wonderfully. ”

The Recipe:
2 oz cold brew concentrate concentrate–the foundation
¾ oz brown sugar cardamom syrup–something borrowed & something new
¾ oz rose water–who doesn’t love roses?
Grapefruit tonic–just a touch!
Crushed roses and sugar zest rim–something pretty
